Biography
Distinguished as a finalist in multiple national competitions, Benjamin Gascon is embarking on a promising journey in the realm of classical guitar. A product of the esteemed Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, Benjamin holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Classical Guitar Performance. Noteworthy achievements include being honored as a Presser Scholar and receiving recognition through the Harry Randolph Prize and the James Winship Lewis Memorial Prize in Performance.
Currently pursuing a doctoral degree under the mentorship of Julian Gray at the Peabody Institute, Benjamin is earnestly shaping a path within the classical music landscape. Deeply dedicated to musical craftsmanship, Benjamin shares a repertoire that seamlessly intertwines Classical- and Romantic-era masterpieces with contemporary compositions. Beyond performance, Benjamin actively engages with the Baltimore-D.C. community as an educator, fostering a love for classical guitar.
